We watched the weather carefully a few weeks ago as Hurricane Florence made her way along the southeastern coast and then thundered over the Carolinas. Becoming more and more aware that Hannah and Matt’s wedding could be affected by the tail end of this natural disaster that was devastating so many across our area, we acted quickly.
Luckily, other than the First Look, pre-ceremony photos, and cocktail hour, the rest of the wedding was planned for indoors. So we made back up plans for those “what if” scenarios (i.e., losing power in the middle of the reception), moved Cocktail Hour indoors, scouted new photo locations, and immediately brought a glass of champagne to a bridesmaid who arrived late due to travel logistic nightmares.
Despite the impending weather, guests having to cancel their RSVPs, and logistical rerouting…this was an incredible day. Hannah and Matt had a BEAUTIFUL wedding that was only made possible by their cheerful friends and family, as well as the amazing vendor team who pulled it all off. And I have been DYING to share some of our favorite wedding photos with you! Enjoy these beauties from Christopher Bell Photography. And be sure to scroll all the way down to spend a few minutes watching the beautiful video Matt Rouse Films captured of the wedding day!
