Bespoken Intern: Meet Emily

Emily came on board as Bespoken's first intern back in March. She has been steadily working over the past few months, and is wrapping up her internship soon. Before she leaves, I wanted you to get to know her a little better :)

Where are you from? I was born in Albany, GA but my parents moved to Greenville when I was 3, and I have lived here ever since!

What do you love most about weddings?  There are so many things that I love about weddings- the families, the music and dancing, the gowns, the decorations… I could go on and on, but my favorite part from what I’ve experienced so far is the joy that everyone has, especially the grooms. The soon-to-be husbands are always so excited and nervous and in love; it gives me happy tears everytime.

What's your major (or what do you hope to do once you are out of college)?  As of right now, I am majoring in Business Economics and International Affairs. And I’m not saying this because I have to, but I would love to do some sort of event planning or marketing after college. Who knows, maybe even wedding planning :)

What's currently your favorite book?  I haven’t had time to read many books other than my textbooks this semester, so I don't have a new book that I’m loving at the moment. My all time favorite book is Pride and Prejudice, and then I can always get down with some Harry Potter books.

What's your favorite food?  Carbs... specifically bread! Oh and any of my grandma’s Italian cooking!

What are your summer plans?  This summer I am so excited to be interning at the Bon Secour Wellness Arena in the production management department! I am also a bridesmaid in a wedding in Charleston, which I cannot wait for! After that I am spending a few days at a St. Jude Conference in Memphis and then a week at the beach!

What are you most grateful for right now?  I am so grateful for my family. College is tough and exhausting, and they have been there for me every day, encouraging me and picking me up when I am down. They are constantly helping me, supporting me, loving me, and feeding me, and I could not be more thankful!

Thanks, Emily! I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know you and having you by my side this spring!
