Fall in Love with These Autumn Dinner Party Ideas

Fall is here, and it’s starting to feel a little like it outside. There’s something about the cooler weather that makes me want to crawl up on the porch and inhale a good book for an entire day. Iced coffees are swapped for steaming hot ciders. Ice cream is exchanged for hot, gooey pies. And plans are being made to spend the holidays with family. But what if you are wanting to throw a fall party? Maybe you’re wanting to have some friends over for a fall dinner and game night? Or maybe you’re wanting throw an adult Halloween party. I’ve gathered some ideas to make your fall party next level.

Plan for some seasonal eats.

Place a charcuterie board out for guests to nibble on as they arrive. I love this one from The House that Lars Built:

You could really impress your guests with these Pumpkin Dinner Rolls from As Easy as Apple Pie:

For the main course, this Porchetta Spiced Pork Shoulder looks amazing:

And I bet you can’t go wrong with a slow cooker crisp like this Caramel Apple Crisp from Eat at Home:

Plan for some seasonal sips.

How about this Apple Cider Sangria from Lexi’s Clean Kitchen?

You could also go super simple and have some good red wine available…or make some apple cider and have guests sip it from copper mugs.

Plan for some cozy decor.

A fall dinner party isn’t complete without some fun plaid throws, buffalo check linens, and gorgeous deep-toned flowers.

Grab some simple white plates, and either some solid linen napkins or buffalo check napkins, invest in some gold or copper flatware, and fold a throw over every other chair or so…

Gather some white pumpkins…you know I love a good neutral…

Or create a fun table runner with mini pumpkins like this one from Country Magazine. You could even let guests take a pumpkin home with them (because what else are you going to do with this many pumpkins afterwards?)
