The Inspiration Behind the French Couture Wedding Styled Shoot

Styling a wedding (or anything, for that matter) is one of the things that brings me joy. So when I stepped foot in Postcard From Paris, the Venue last summer, I knew I wanted to design a styled shoot for this space. Chic. Blank walls. Black accents.

And a painting hanging over a couch that made my mind start clamoring for design inspiration in this space. (This pic I snapped with my cell phone does not do this painting justice.)

And so I set out on creating a Design Board that would encompass the mood, textures, and atmosphere I wanted this shoot to explore.

With an A-Team list of vendors, we did it. And you can see the original published shoot here, with more of my favorites here.

Coastal Wedding Inspiration

If you've read my bio, you know that I feel most at home at the beach. It's the one place I feel completely at peace. The one place where I'm reminded of how big and vast this world is...and how small I am.

I also love neutrals and a natural, elegant feeling to a wedding (not to mention my home decor). I think there's something so beautiful about something so simple.

So naturally, I've combined all of these loves of mine into a coastal wedding inspiration board for you on this Monday morning. Enjoy, friends!

Color Inspiration: Yellow, Mint, and Gray

Bespoken | Wedding Planner | Greenville, SC

A couple of weeks ago, I shared the photos from Bespoken's promo shoot, and today I want to share what inspired the design. I wanted a mix of neutrals with some pops of color. So we mixed gray and ivory, and brought in natural elements like the wooden candle holders and wooden sweetheart table. The pops of color came from the yellow flowers and mint napkins and glasses. And of course I had to throw in some blush-colored florals...because...well...I have a thing for any and all things blush and pink. I also wanted to create a soft, romantic, and feminine look to represent my brand. This board became the inspiration behind the promo shoot. Enjoy! And see more photos from the shoot here and here.
