2017 Trend Report: Wedding Details + Special Touches

Today's the last installment of our 2017 Wedding Trend Report, focusing on the details and special touches to make your wedding a little more unique.

MOBILE TECHNOLOGY

From different and interactive wedding apps to drones capturing overhead video to social media photo booths, mobile technology will be a bigger deal in 2017 weddings. (However...I'm still a huge fan of unplugged ceremonies).

PERSONALIZATION

Brides and Grooms will be finding more ways to make their wedding more personal through little details. These details will be more personal to the guests and create a more intimate atmosphere.

INTERACTIVE LATE NIGHT SNACKS

Late Night Snacks will still be a huge hit, but this year we may see Brides and Grooms choosing to make these interactive stations. Whether it's a Dress Your Own Donut, a Make Your Own Ice Cream Sundae, or a Build Your Own Nachos station, guests will enjoy creating their own Late Night Snack.

Wedding Hashtag Generator

Since Instagram is such a prevalent part of our society, many Brides & Grooms want their guests to use a personalized hashtag whenever they post photos from the wedding. That way the Bride & Groom can click on the hashtag after the wedding to see all of the photos their guests took throughout the evening.

From my experience, coming up with an original wedding hashtag that captures your identity as a couple is no easy feat. On top of that, you want your hashtag to be easy for guests to remember, as well as to be one that's not already in use.

This is where I've found that wedding stationery company, Wedding Paper Divas, steps in and makes things a whole lot easier. They created a wedding hashtag generator that comes up with dozens of ideas after you enter your name and wedding date. It's pretty simple! Check it out here.

Once you have your original hashtag, you want to make sure you are using it as much as possible! Whether you use it while sharing wedding updates on social media, or including it on your Save the Dates, invitations, or place cards, you want it highly visible. This will train your guests to use it on your big day :)

After your wedding, you'll have a personal collection of photos from your loved ones that tell the story of your wedding day through their eyes. You could even choose to print the photos through one of the many photo printing companies out there.

Be sure to check out Wedding Paper Divas' Wedding Hashtag Generator to see what you can come up with!
