2017 Trend Report: Wedding Details + Special Touches

Today's the last installment of our 2017 Wedding Trend Report, focusing on the details and special touches to make your wedding a little more unique.

MOBILE TECHNOLOGY

From different and interactive wedding apps to drones capturing overhead video to social media photo booths, mobile technology will be a bigger deal in 2017 weddings. (However...I'm still a huge fan of unplugged ceremonies).

PERSONALIZATION

Brides and Grooms will be finding more ways to make their wedding more personal through little details. These details will be more personal to the guests and create a more intimate atmosphere.

INTERACTIVE LATE NIGHT SNACKS

Late Night Snacks will still be a huge hit, but this year we may see Brides and Grooms choosing to make these interactive stations. Whether it's a Dress Your Own Donut, a Make Your Own Ice Cream Sundae, or a Build Your Own Nachos station, guests will enjoy creating their own Late Night Snack.

2017 Trend Report: Wedding Design

Last week I started talking to you a bit about wedding fashion trends we are going to see in 2017, and today I want to talk about some design trends we might see.

NATURAL ELEMENTS

This is one of my favorite design elements we are going to see more of this year. Brides will be bringing in touches of natural elements in their wedding decor. Wood, marble, and geodes will be seen in many weddings.

GEOMETRIC ELEMENTS

Geometric lines and shapes will be seen in many pieces of wedding decor. Clean lines make for a minimalist and modern look that many brides will want to see in their wedding.

BOHEMIAN CHIC ELEMENTS

Last week I hinted that you'll likely see the Bohemian Chic continue trending in wedding gowns, and this year you'll likely continue to see wedding designs in full-on Boho Chic style.

All of these elements blend beautifully together and could all be seen in one wedding if done well. In fact, one of our weddings this year is hoping to incorporate many of these design elements, and I couldn't be more excited!

2017 Trend Report: Wedding Fashion

As we are rounding out the first month of the year, I wanted to pop in with some trends we might be seeing in the wedding world in 2017, specifically with wedding fashion. Wedding dresses, veils, shoes, accessories, flowers, etc.

LACE

One of the things we'll likely see more of this year is lace. Lace in the wedding dress, veil, and even in some of the decor (i.e., a lace table runner).

BIG FLORALS

Another trend we may see are oversized and big florals. With greenery. And maybe some succulents.

METALLICS

We're still seeing gold accents in weddings...from flatware to gold leaf on cakes...but we may start seeing more rose gold and copper this year.

BOHEMIAN CHIC

I love that we'll still continue to see the Bohemian Chic style. A little boho, a little sophistication.
